Anchor & Compass Lifecycle Services extends the wedding officiation services offered by I Do’s With David to the rest of the life cycle and rites-of-passage experience. The anchor and compass themselves are a nod to David’s prior active-duty Navy enlisted and Reserve Chaplaincy service. David draws on decades of pastoral experience in congregational and education settings that gives depth to a personal style that is approachable, relatable, compassionate, empathetic, and flexible.

Every ceremony is deeply personalized to reflect your values as it is crafted. The result is a ceremony that authentically addresses your needs with authenticity and integrity.

Before the Cradle
Rituals and ceremonies for couples seeking children through intimacy, fertility treatments, and/or adoption; responding to a challenging pregnancy or pregnancy loss and/or still birth; gender reveal celebrations
Birth & Childhood
New baby & new child welcoming celebrations, naming ceremonies; new sibling ceremonies
Early Adolescence
Leaving childhood/recognition of puberty
Mid-Adolescence/Young Adult
Milestone birthdays; New Drivers ceremony; leaving home for new beginnings
Adult
New home dedication; celebrating a new job; “blessing” a boat or plane; ceremonies for concluding relationships, promotions and retirement
Preparing for Your Farewell
Service planning; eulogy writing; determining legacy interests
Final Needs
Funeral, inurnment, memorial, celebration of life ceremonies; monument dedication
Officiant Services & Rates
Full Ceremony
Officiation including 1 hour of planning meeting in 2 half-hour segments plus any required expenses. $1050
Weekday rates Mon-Thurs $825.
Micro Wedding (30 attendees or less)
Weekdays Mon-Thurs includes one 1/2 hour planing meeting. $550
Included Services
- Coordination with vendors connected to the ceremony
- Travel within 50 miles/1 hour of Washington DC
Extra Services
- Planning meetings $75.00/half-hour
- Rehearsals (if available) $125.00/hr. +travel
- Travel $50/hr. 3 hour minimum in Northern/Central Virginia and central Maryland
Virginia, D.C. & West Virginia License Signing Services
The ‘Day Of’ service supports your choice of an unregistered officiant. We will arrange to meet and have your secular marriage license signed.
